After reading numerous reviews and listening to constant word-of-mouth praise, it appears that many expect Relient K to be the new golden boys of the pop punk movement. Unfortunately, therein lies the problem. While Relient K has the pre-requisite hook-laden, toe-tapping songs, the band brings nothing new to the table. Their talent is obvious; however, their creativity is not. If they are content with being the kings of an overused genre, then they've succeeded. However, it is clear that Relient K has more to offer. Once they realize that, fans will really have something special to rave about.
