When I strap on the headphones, press the play button and lie down on my overstuffed green couch, I close my eyes, and find myself immersed in a world of eerie soundscapes where anything can happen, where hardcore and hip-hop join forces for the sake of masterful storytelling. This is the world of Mr. Dibbs. This album is very well put together, in that it can make Johnny Cash and Suffocate Faster sound like old touring mates, expertly utilizing varied pieces of the musical spectrum. Fittingly, I find myself frightened, wizened and strangely vindicated by the experience.
