Chicago-based Catfish Haven form a midwest alliance with Bloomington label Secretly Canadian. Get ready for comparisons to the "The" bands, but don't believe that bullshit. This trio channels the soulfulness of Otis Redding and the southern stomp of CCR. Catfish Haven do little to hide the fact that they're a trio, creating a simple yet surprisingly full sound, while singer George Hunter's gritty howl highlights the album. With their debut LP on the way this year, the future is bright for these guys.
